Sleeping in own bed

My 2 year old has gotten into the habit of getting into our bed between 10-1 and it’s not helping us at all. He takes up most of the room, he goes down in his own bed absolutely fine and then usually between 12 and 1 he’s in our bed til between 5-7am. There’s not enough room for the 3 of us, as he takes up the whole bed end then we are unable to move or anything which isnt helping. It’s not so bad if it’s early morning but it’s not. any advice is appreciated, from one very tired mum & dad.

Assuming you want this to stop…… Take him back to his bed and tuck him in as soon as he gets in. Repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat with no breath or negotiation It will wear you out and may take endless nights of perseverance but he will in time not bother to try as he knows he gets taken straight back to bed. He will be well rested for it as will you both!!

Hiya! My daughter started doing the same thing around a week after her 2nd birthday, 2 weeks of her waking around midnight and asking to go in our bed and I was so exhausted I just let her but I was also worried about her getting into the habit of staying with us! Now a few weeks later she’s started staying in her bed again overnight, I think it may be a regression? I also heard some people say they start getting separation anxiety around this age xx
