It’s common at this age. My son does it from time to time. Not consistently. Pediatrician and PT were not concerned at all. I had him evaluated because I was concerned about the toe walking myself
It’s not a sign of autism bc I personally was a tip toe walker and so was my dad, BUT CUT THAT SH!T IN THE BUD RIGHT NOW!!!! By the time I was 12 the tendons in my legs were so tight I was given the option of surgery or physical therapy. I chose physical therapy, but not having the option is a possibility depending case to case. I should also mention that I was a chronic tip toe walker and not an occasional one tho😅 I even still do it to this day in the mornings💀
@Rocio Yeah…I’m like “are they exploring?” And you’re not concerned?
@Christina🤱🏼🍂☕️♈️ Good to know! Thanks for the relief! Did the PT or Pediatrician say to just leave it alone and not redirect the tip toeing?
@Ash Thank you Ash! How can I cut that shit in the bud right now?!!! My son is currently super clingy (separation anxiety even when sleeping as he wakes up and wants to be held — so rough!).
@Jenn yep. They said I could do calf extension exercises which I have been. Stretching the Achilles too.
My baby started tip toeing as well like 2 weeks ago, not the whole time he walks, but he does it kinda often
