I have been working on getting my babies out I just giving it a gentle massage with a brush and some sensitive shampoo but oil for about 20 min before bath. A nit comb can get rid of the skin but be so gentle cos it can make head go abit red xx
Thank you can anyone recommend a good cradle cap cream?
The front of his head looks so sore 😭😭
@Kas the Mustela one is good. They have a shampoo too.
we went through the same - put lots of cream on it, and don’t forcefully brush out anything. My doctor later on told me i should have used a fungal shampoo for the infection but ours was slightly more severe and had liquid and a smell coming out. It took around a week to clear up
Mines just started with it and I’ve been putting this on its honestly a lifesaver, a little goes a long way and it’s only 3 natural ingredients https://www.bedrocksandbroomsticks.co.uk/product-page/calendula-salve
I was bathing my baby in just water for weeks and then I decided to use baby shampoo because she doesn’t seem to be an overly sensitive baby. She’s had a bit of a flaky scalp ever since, so I guess I won’t be doing that anymore! 😬
Try some coconut oil it works wonders for my little one and her flaky scalp x
I’ve been using just Vaseline in the tub, I gently massage it on and leave it on for 2 hours before his bath time and then wash it off using a baby hair bath brush (frida do a specific one for cradle cap too) This seems to be working for us, my boys was a lot worse than the picture and it’s all cleared up in 4 days but just dry scalp left now I’ve also seen mustela do a foam shampoo and oil for cradle cap and the reviews are really good xx
Thanks everyone. I have ordered the mustela one with the brush. I didn’t realise they do one but the mustela water worked wonders for his baby acne so hopefully this will clear this aswell! X
I also used nalas baby shampoo on him last night and then woke up looking really sore today so I’ll be avoiding that now! It’s supposed to be 98% natural
@Kas this is exactly what happened to my little one, it flared up worse after using this. The body oils etc have worked wonders but the shampoo is defo a no go for us now x
Maybe try a different oil and get a cradle cap kit/ brush and some sensitive shampoo aswell
