Constipation
Does anyone else’s baby gets really bad constipation? My little girl is almost 5 months and has always been constipated since she were a few weeks old. She’s been on lactulose but it wasn’t working on it’s on so we changed milk and then she didn’t pass her bowels for 5/6 days and she has a doctors appointment tomorrow but she has been really badly constipated again today I just don’t know what to do I hate seeing her in so much pain

@Kasia yeah she goes around 3 days but can never pass her bowels on her own we have to help her she’s always in pain we’re back there tomorrow so I’m going to tell them that she’s still constipated we’ve been on lactulose since 18th, changed milk etc nothing seems to have worked how old is your little one x
@Leoni hopefully they can help as it’s so difficult when they are trying to go and can’t! I heard probiotics can help Im always tempted to try but worried it might make it worse. She’s just turned 4 months last week

We have the same thing, she always goes every 3/4 days, the longest she’s gone was 10 days once I think. We’ve got prescribed lactulose but only gave it to her twice when it’s been few days and I can see her struggle as we don’t want to use it too much. Cooled boiled water seems to help sometimes, bicycles baths etc never done anything. GP just says it happens to babies on formula 😔 hoping it will get better once we start weaning
