My HV said nothing about the amount of bottles but I'm assuming that's because I'm exclusively pumping and she's always gained well.
My hv said nothing about the amount of milk she was having but I have found if I reduce her bottles she will eat more food and not be bothered about her milk, she had about 4oz at 1am and when I offered her some milk at 9:30am she didn’t want it so I left it at that, and she’s had food all day and only now wanted her milk x
Thanks girls 💕 @Hayley sorry about your experience with the HV! Not sure why they even told you to drop bottles if she chugs her solids 💕💕 @Shannon thanks for sharing- I’ll try this and drop the bottles but she’s a fussy eater so I’m not convinced it’ll increase her appetite - but I’ll try 💕
We were told to reduce bottles to increase appetite, it’s worked for dinner but he still doesn’t eat as much as other babies the same age. Slightly concerned for the change from formula to cows milk 🤷🏽♀️
@Steph oh, interesting! I have bought Pediasure, it’s once a day but has all the necessary nutrients for fussy eaters. Started on this and when we stop formula she’ll continue the Pediasure.
@Asia oh I’ve never heard of that! Will you give that along side multivitamins? How much formula is your baby having?
@Steph I think it’s up to you. You can give the vitamins on top or not. I’ll just check the dosage and compare with Pediasure just to not give them too much vitamin A or summat. Currently she has 4bottles 🥹 trying to drop to 3, hence my post
@Asia ahh thank you! I’ll defo have a look into it we dropped to 3 from 5 but he had a tummy bug last week and now this week he’s having 4/5 bottles a day again 😫
@Steph feels good to not be alone 💕 bw
I was spoken to imo quite harshly to drop her bottles. We’re still messing about with them tho - always has 8oz offered for her first and maybe 5-6 for her last but I’ll often give a small 4oz at 11 or 4. She drinks them and eats like a horse 🐎
