I’m still working on my 3yr old boy. The only reason why my 17 month old girl is interested is because of him. Just work on exposure. Talk about going potty, taking him with you when you go. Say things like “ oh I have to stop playing to go potty” before you go to the bathroom.
You can use cloth diapers; because they hold less fluid it will be uncomfortable enough to stop playing. You can also incorporate the potty into the diaper change routine by having him wipe on the potty before a fresh diaper. You can have the potty in the bathroom and bring him into the bathroom when you go and explain you are going potty like a big kid. You can try for the easy catches so it clicks that potty is meant for pee if he does t understand the concept yet; so like wake up pees. Don’t use toys or books, if he only sits for a few seconds that’s ok. Idk if you’ve heard of the diaper less 3 day method. Where they are nakie and you are cleaning the floor for 3 days, i haven’t looked into it yet myself. But I think it’s just like a cold turkey/new habit method
I’m reading the “Oh crap. Potty Training” book currently planning to start potty training in about 3 months. My son can at least try to pull up his pants and has been pulling at his diaper since last month
I just got my 3 year old trained. I’d say try at 2.5 and if no interest try again at 3
