Inconclusive Scan?
Hiya,
So I’m 5 weeks and 6 days and I just had an early scan because I had some bleeding and cramping.
Was told I have a sub chronic haematoma which is the reason for the bleed - which thankfully has stopped now.
But on the ultrasound they said it was inconclusive? They could see the gestational sack and the yolk sac, but no embryo?
I’m freaking out that this means there’s no baby?
Has anyone else had anything similar or know what could be going on?
I have to go back in 2 weeks for them to see again and I am so scared they’re going to just see nothing :(

I think that implantation can sometimes cause a small hematoma and bleeding. It's going to be two very difficult weeks but try not to panic, it is very common to only see a sac at this stage x

Please try not to worry. I had a scan at 5-6 weeks and only the yolk sac was seen. We went back 2 weeks later and there was visibility 🙏🏻 it can just be too early to see anything xx
