Ugh, I'm with you. Let me know when you figure it out. Mine still loves it still.
I just took mine off the bottle. He’s been off like 3 weeks and he’s doing fine. After the first few nights he was ok
We cut the paci off cold turkey. We “lost” it one day and never gave it back to him. That was about 6-8 months ago. He found it one day last week and I told him no icky and he threw it away 😂
We basically just said goodbye to it. She never had one as a newborn and it was a habit she picked up at the end of last year from watching Boss Baby lol. I told her we would be saying bye bye to the paci, she had a pack of three and we threw them away one by one. The last one, I said bye to it and let her say bye bye to it and then let her throw it out. It’s been a couple months and she only has mentioned it maybe 2x
@Kylie was sleep hard at first? We have tried in the past and he basically refused to sleep. Woke up every hour for weeks after having to sit in his room for a while to get him to go to sleep in the first place. My husband ended up insisting we give it back so I feel like in that reguard we set our selves up for failure and now it's going to be more difficult
It took us 5 tries and 11 million tantrums but eventually we got there. Once she began biting them, that was the sign that it was time to get rid of them. So this was around 26/27 months. The first 2 weeks I tried it, no one got any sleep. Then on the 3rd week I tried again. I said it was time to put binky away and she pouted a bit and was upset but no tantrum. No meltdown. No screaming the house down. Nothing. And we’ve been good ever since. I was actually pretty shocked 😅😂. I thought we were going to be on the binky until 3/3.5 but it happened sooner which was a welcomed surprise. Toddlers can surprise you ☺️
@Nicole the first 2ish nights were hard with him. But he didn’t really ask for it. I feel like he was ready to be done with it. He was attached to it but not a lot. He didn’t refuse to sleep tho. I laid with him to get him to sleep but that was about it.
Find a baby for him to "give" it to. When he asks for it, remind him that he gave it to the baby since he's a big boy now and the baby needed it.
cut a small hole in it. So when they suck it don’t feel the same
