I'm currently 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant and noticed some brown discharge on my underwear this morning. I put a pad on for the rest of the day, but it’s been clean since then. Is this normal? I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in January, so I can’t help but feel incredibly anxious. I went to the early pregnancy unit, and they booked a scan scheduled for April 8th, but it feels like that’s a lifetime away.

Brown blood means it’s old, so I think that is a good sign. But ughh I don’t blame you for being super paranoid. Do you live in the us? We have ultrasound boutiques where you can just go take a peek without having to do the whole doctors office rigamarole.

I had this and miscarried , it was only when I wiped . People say brown blood is good and k totally disagree with it after multiple miscarriages brown blood is not ok ! I hope yours is a different outcome

I miscarried at 10 weeks and it started with brown discharge. Fingers crossed everything works out for you but please look after yourself x

My miscarriage started like this, but my midwife didn’t seem concerned at first, she said it could be a sign of infection. Fingers crossed for you! Xx

@Lucy same with me epu dragged it out for 2 days saying it was fine untill I rang my community midwife and she got me an emergency scan . Hate it when I see people say brown blood is ok ! Ur giving false hope I mean it can sometimes be nothing of course but more time it’s not

I hate to say it but I had brown weird discharge which ended in a miscarriage but this could be old blood / implantation as mine looked different to this xx hang on
