Tiredness

My 16m old has seemed really tired recently, she’ll wake up anywhere between 6:10-7 (latest) but by 9/10am, she seems exhausted. If we’re in the car, she’ll nod off but I feel like I’m really trying to keep her awake till at least 11/11:30 most days. She goes to bed about 7:30 and wakes a few times in the night - only ever for 5/10 minutes so not awake for hours. I was capping her nap at 1hr30 for better night time sleep but often let her have 2hrs. I’ve tried a 3 hour nap when she was poorly but we had a terrible night.. any ideas? Anyone experienced low iron or anything like this in your little one?

My LG is like this if she only has one nap as I still think she needs two so if she is with me she will have two naps (10ish & 3ish) but fights it a nursery and will only have one 🙈 Is there alot happening in the day? Nursery/going out and about etc tiring her out? There's alot of development happening too xx

@Kimberley did you try her on just one nap for a while? She’s been on just one nap for months now, but often think she’d be better with two naps but then I worry about a late bedtime. What time will your lg go to bed if she has a 3pm nap and how long does she nap for? She has nursery two days a week but they don’t report any worries. And during the day, we always do something. Some days are busier than others so wasn’t sure if it was developmental x

So she sleep 6-6 but could vary 1hr each side tbh so sometimes 7-7 First nap will always be 1hr on the dot. 2nd maybe 30mins-1hr varies alot tbh but definitely 30 mins is what I expect. I don't allow sleep after 4pm and she still goes down at 6ish no problem. If encourage the nap if she's home with me or we walk til she sleeps for the morning nap. I have asked nursery to do the same but like today she only had 1 45 mins nap and was definitely a grump at bedtime xx

There all so different in their sleep needs/sleep pressure etc aren't they! Xx

@Kimberley yeah they really are!!

Might be getting sick or a growth spurt

Has she recently started being more on the move? When she first started walking she was EXHAUSTED. Let her tackle a tesco superstore on her feet last week and it was literally like.. she had been walking for 8 days by the end
