I have a 3yr and a 1yr and when I'm alone with them .... I feel i can't do much! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Apart from shopping and spending money i don't have 🤣🤣🤣 on clothes that the babies need and leave myself in the mum uniform 🤣🤣💜 I read somewhere it gets easier when they're around 3 and 4 .....but I don't know its hard for me as my 3yr old was prem at 24wks ,,,, sometimes it's actually like havering two 1yr olds 😅 😳
I have been thinking about this too! I take my older one (21 months) to playgroups that are designed for older toddlers. But I asked the ladies running it and they said it's fine to take the younger one (3 months) as age is just a guide. So I pop him in a carrier and take my toddler too. It's still a sensory experience and all the voices are good for speech development etc.
My bestie always called me out for play dates for this reason 😂 she had 2 lil ones and I only had the one so I could follow the older boys around while she tended to the baby….(and i didn’t mind at all) is there anyone you can call to come w you to make the process easier?? I was gonna mention playcentre …but you’ll still need someone to follow him at that age since he’ll still either want you or need help getting up onto things…try making a local mum friend on here and inviting her out esp if shes only got the one but closer to the 18m age Library seasons are also good.
Following.. I have a 6 month old and a 19 month old. It's so hard doing something fun for my toddler when I have a baby strapped to me the whole time 😭
Look for libraries near you and see if they offer storytimes for babies and toddlers!
I had 2.5yr old twins when my baby was born and we carried on going to any group they liked with the baby in the sling. Community run play groups are great as usually have a baby area and then the bigger one can play as well. Soon I'll have almost 4 year old twins, 18m old and new born and we will continue going to a lot of the same groups and the newborn will just be carried in a stretchy sling for the first 6 months at least
I totally get this!! We live in the parks, back gardens and library’s. Following for ideas xx
