I was told my baby is in the 46th percentile and she’s doing very well for her growth. I’m hearing about 3rd and 4th. But not sure if that’s exactly correct. And they said she was doing fine and everything was going well. Just like they told you. Sometimes i wonder if these doctors know what they’re talking about.
@Jackie they didn’t say what caused it. They said my due date could just be wrong but we won’t be able to say for sure until the specialist appointments. That’s just what I’m curious about.. what those appointments are like vs. our regular OB ultrasounds.
@Mariam glad to hear your baby is doing well. Yeah, she’s healthy on all accounts- just small. The OB was pretty vague which added to my anxiety.
Try not to worry too much then. Mfm will basically do an in depth anatomy scan. Take a thorough history. Likely bring you back in a few weeks to make sure baby is growing appropriately. They'll check the placenta/cord. If you aren't 100% sure of your due date it's likely that.
@Jackie thank you! 🫶 I told the OB when she was conceived because we were tracking and they still did the due date based on the last period. I’ve had very abnormal periods 75 days long, 50 days long, etc. so, I’m really hoping it’s just that.
My baby girl is 4th percentile. I go back for another scan at the specialist in a few weeks. They said the same thing that my due date could be off and that they didn’t measure her right the first time, so we will see. Sending hugs and best wishes to you and your baby. 🫶🏻
Yes then I bet it's that! I also have abnormal cycles and was seeing fertility. They went off my at home positive LH test to set my date. My lmp would have definitely been off!

This was my first baby. Everything was normal, I think her due date was always a week off

Update! We had our appointment this morning and baby girl’s due date was off by 5 days. She’s actually in the 46th percentile and growing healthy and well. HUGE relief!
Did they say what they thought the cause is? That will likely determine next steps.
