Vaccines aren't perfect, and break through infections can still happen. But the more people who are vaccinated, the more we are ALL protected, because it reduces the circulation of those diseases in our communities. And it especially helps protect the most vulnerable people in our population; the very young, the very old, the immunocompromised, people who legitimately can't get vaccinated, etc. Anti vaxers are selfish, because they benefit from the herd immunity the vaccinated population provides, without doing their part to contribute. And now herd immunity is collapsing in some places.
Look up Dr. Suzanne Humphries if you're interested in the vaccine subject - she's done some crazy research! 😊

All a vaccine does is expose your immune system to that viral makeup so that if you come into contact with it again your white blood cells have already developed the mechanism to fight it off. If you aren’t vaccinated for measles, for example - when your body comes into contact with it it’s learning to fight it off while having to deal with the live infection too - if you survive you’ve got immunity . Although vaccines offer a very good level of protection it’s mainly “herd immunity” that’s relied on. When a population reaches herd immunity through mass vaccination that virus simply isn’t circulating anymore so no one is exposed to it and everyone is protected. When we lose herd immunity the virus will spread around unvaccinated people initially and those vaccinated may not catch it at all but the more there is circulating the bigger the chance the virus begins to change its structure so those vaccinated won’t have the same level of protection as before x
