I heard the heartbeat from 9weeks, but baby is as small as a grape so you'd be lucky to find it. At around 9 weeks your placenta starts to take over, which coincides with the loss of symptoms. If you're worried, speak to your GP or you could always pay for a private reassurance scan? I'd recommend this over a Doppler x
@Aimee was that at the hospital or an at home Doppler?
I’ve been using my Doppler since 9 weeks! People say it’s not recommended because it can give false reassurance however each to their own I guess, I researched a lot to know the difference between my heart beat, placenta and baby! I’m not recommending it because as Aimee said it’s better to pay for a private scan! x
I’m trained in using a Doppler.. I heard babys heartbeat at 10 weeks 1 days in this pregnancy. It really depends on the person. Once you pick up and understand which each noise is, it’s very easy to use.
@Aimee I’ve had a private scan at 6w + 2 but since 8.5 my symptoms have gone. My midwife said they won’t do anything without cramps or bleeding so trying to hold tight till my 12 week scan in 2 weeks as the private ones where I stay are expensive x

@Beccy mine was a Doppler at home
You could always fib and say it was pink when you wiped? I have an irritated cervix and have experienced this with all of mine.
@Aimee what Doppler did you get? I’m considering it
Doppler won’t work this early as the heart is too small, but it’s normal for symptoms to fluctuate and to drop off towards the end of first trimester. If you aren’t cramping and bleeding then you’re probably ok. If you’re super worried, ring your local EPU for advice.
