Why are you worried at this point? Baby is barely 2 years old, still brand new to this earth. It'd be more concerning had it of been an older child. At this point, this is normal & he will get there.
Probably looking at other kids his age saying two-words together, pointing to pictures when asked makes me feel im not creating enough opportunities for him to learn :(
Each child blossoms & blooms in their own time, you're doing a great job. Please try not to compare to other children x
Flash cards and pictures are way less interesting than a living bus or runaway cat. 😅
I've noticed my little one copies me a lot. So me constantly narrating must be doing something, or I'm insane and it's pointless 🤣
Your tone while talking to him can help too. Babies and toddlers are more interested in and respond more to what we would consider an overly excited tone with a big goofy smile. But all children grow and develop at different rates, this is like the mantra of early years education. Just like you can have a growth spurt, you can also get brain development spurts.
I pretty much narrate everything and that seems to help as it’s not forced, I’m just generally chatting constantly. When I’m getting him dressed l say “put your arm in, arm” and just repeat when I’m doing. “Let’s brush your teeth/ brush your hair” etc so when l say where’s your hair etc he can point and say hair & arm. Just keep talking to them is what I would suggest. It’ll come eventually so don’t stress
