Mine is tomorrow too 🫣 it's our second baby and I'm feeling quite nervous now! But excited to meet her!
Me! Feeling very nervous/have lots of "doom" thoughts. 😢
Mine is on the 9th, I’m quite calm now but I know this time next weeks I’ll be an anxious mess. I know I’ve made the best decision for the baby and myself but it’s the overall worry
Are we worried more for the awake surgery or the recovery? My worry is definitely more for feeling or being sick/nauseous as I have a phobia, during the surgery!!! X
I think I'm more worried for something going wrong than anything else x
I’ve got three weeks til mine (elective after emergency) - I’m generally relaxed about it but just want recovery to go smoothly!
If you’re concerned about this, you can ask for antisickness medication. I had to have it during my first section and it really did work 😊
Mine is tomorrow too! (Was supposed to be yesterday and I was sent home after 5 hour wait 😭😭) Good luck everyone!
@Rachel oh no! Too many emergencies? Xx
I had one and it was amazing! Because it's elective it's calm and well organised and they really look after you, I was so worried about having one and was petrified but after talking to people who had one and now experiencing it It wasn't what I thought it would (in a good way)
Yeah I was last and the theatre team were the only team in so had to be me the emergency team and wouldn’t do another elective just in case. It was a bit frustrating but I guess I was the one needing the emergency last time so I had a cry and went home 🤣😭
@Hollie Marie aww that’s good so good to hear congrats! Did you have a baby boy or girl x
Had a little boy! Was supposed to be induced but body wasn't ready and actually had to fight for an elective in the end because they wanted to try other things but even the surgeons said there was no way he was coming naturally xxx
@Hollie Marie thank god you advocated for yourself and the surgeon agreed!!! I’m so Super nervous but I know planned ones can go really well and be chilled x

I could tell you not to be nervous but then it's the unknown, just make sure if you are unsure of anything ask, and they will continuously check on you and make sure your okay Also please don't worry if you end up shaking! When the spinal block went in and was working I started shaking and couldn't stop, it's normal and goes way once the baby is on you xxx
@Hollie Marie yes I’ve read about the shakes - delightful 😩 did you feel sick at all??? That’s my worse fear! Z
Mines on the 11th and I'm terrified! I think more for the being awake part, I've had operations before but never been awake of course and nervous that something might go wrong with bubba xx
I’m waiting for a date for mine looking at around 2 weeks time, baby is breech. I’m more worried about the recovery as I have had one before and it was nice but the recovery was easier with it being my first and having no one else to look after x
@Lauren don't be terrified 🩷 tell them about your fears and they will be there to support you! You really don't feel anything and you become more focused on the baby, if you have any questions let me know! As I was also terrified about the thought and cried for weeks when I thought I would have to have one xxx
Found out today that mine will be happening Friday! 😱
@Sally good luck! Mine is next Friday xx
@Hollie Marie thank you so much 🩷🩷
Mine is tomorrow! I’m trying to put the surgery thoughts aside and just think of meeting our second baby 😅
