When I sightly push my stomach above my c-section scar it hurts

I’m 5 months postpartum and for weeks now my stomach has been killing me when I stand up and this was my first surgery ever and my first baby I feel like something is wrong but I also don’t know if anyone else experienced it. It only kinda feels better when I lay down

I'm also 5 months pp. The area around my scar, especially between my scar and belly button are definitely still sensitive and a bit tender but I wouldn't say it's truly painful. I would reach out to your provider.

5x c section mama. Definitely speak to your provider but at times up to almost 2 years post op I would sometimes experience pain still. Also had a hard time wearing jeans until over the 1 year mark. Everyone is different though.

My understanding is that the visible scar is not the only place we have had stitches. When they cut through 7 layers the first one is the most external one (skin and fat), then there is the fascial layer, separating the abdominal muscles and cutting the uterus. The uterus and the external layers are stitched while often the abdominal wall is left to heal alone (some surgeons might decide to stitch that one too). Scar tissue is formed not only where we see it but also above (between visible scat and belly button). Maybe it is just the sensitivity of that? But always good to check in with the medical provider

I'm a year out and I still get pain mainly on the left.part of.my scar
