@Jen oh I see. I’m high risk so they know I’ll be having a c section. I just thought it seemed really late
I was told originally that I would find out my date at 36 weeks too 🙂
You likely wont find out until that appointment, as electives they book for after 39 weeks as standard.
I had an appointment with a consultant at 29 weeks and she booked me in then for my pre op at 38w+6 and c section for 39 weeks
I've been booked in since January for when I turn 39 weeks. My official date will be given at my 36-week obstetrics appointment... made it a lot easier to pre-plan childcare for my first child.
37 weeks I was booked in for a section at 39 weeks. As baby was breech! 10th September I was due to go in for 7am, but I woke up at 3am with contractions. Went in about 3.30am to be told I was fully dilated 🤪 so they stopped my contractions and got me in for an emergency section. But, it was all still calm and a great experience! As soon as they stopped my contractions everything just seemed so chill! Then my little girl was born about 5.30am :)
I am having an elective c section, you tend to only get your letter with the date a week or two before, it’s usually very short notice on receiving the actual date for the surgery. Have you expressed your wishes for a c section at previous appointments so they know that’s what you want?
