How to help 'cabin fever' on mat leave?

I'm a FTM and my partner takes our one car to work Tuesday-Friday. I live in a small town and I am lucky enough to have a couple of nice walks nearby but there is only one baby group a week within walking distance, and not much to do in the town itself. Did anyone else experience this, and what did you do to relieve the cabin fever of being in the same house all day? For context, my LO is 6 weeks old.

I’m feeling the same - minus I don’t live in small town but def. feeling the cabin fever! I downloaded an online dancing app, that helps boost endorphins & makes the day go by faster. My baby also seems to be entertained watching me dance!

I felt the same too! My LO is 10 weeks. We car shared for the last 8 months, meaning my partner has had the car for work. I had an emergency c-section, so couldn't drive for 6 weeks anyway. I go back to work 3 weeks today, and feel like I've wasted my maternity leave. My partner has bought his own car now, but find it hard to decide on what to do/where to go x

Is possible for you to drive partner to work some days so you can have car I know not easy but occasionally

What are buses like in your area?? I don’t drive so tended to take daughter somewhere on the bus for different sessions

@Maisie unfortunately they aren't very frequent, glad you had good access though

@Hollie that’s sucks. Fingers crossed you’ll come up with a solution :)
