C section recovery advice pls !

Hi, can you guys give me some advice on how to make my recovery better and easier. I’m on day 2 and really struggling😭

Keep up with your medication. If Tylenol and Advil aren’t working, use the prescribed medication instead! Get up and move. I know that sounds like not what you want to do, but trust me, it makes the world of difference!!! Just around your house to start, slowly work your way to longer periods. Rest! (Also sounds counterproductive when I just said to move around)… rest as much as you can, don’t do anything strenuous except care for baby, and yourself! Ask for help! Take all the help you can get! Let other people do the laundry, make the meals etc. I promise it does and will get easier. I found by end of week 1 I was pretty much back to normal.

@Amanda thank you! I did try to walk around today more than yesterday and it does make me feel a little better. Hopefully it’ll start getting easier soon

Walking!! Stay on top of the meds and if you think you’re okay to go without you’re wrong. I used ice and heat while I was laying down helped a lot! Warm showers helped too. I’m on week 4 now and I feel wayyyy better. But noticed a huge difference after the first week. It’ll get better ❤️‍🩹

@Destiny how often do you walk? I’ve walked around a few times but not much

I went on one longer walk every day and try to increase the distance until I was able to walk about 30 minutes every day. This was really helpful! I would usually use an ice pack after a walk but mainly just to be proactive. I stayed on top of my medicationand never needed to take the prescription. You are in the thick of it now by the end of week one it’ll be a night and day difference!

I was walking every day for anywhere between 15 minutes and an hour if I felt up to it. Now I go for 1.5-2 hour walks no issues and felt I healed faster this way
