Danger nap

My LG was up most of the night due to a cough and teething and napped for 3 hours from 9am to 11am. She had a 25 minute nap at 5 because we just couldn’t keep her up any longer but she wasn’t tired enough for a nap at say 2-3. I’m now panicking that she won’t have enough sleep pressure to carry her through the night. I’m exhausted after 2 nights of rough/non existent sleep. What would you guys do?

My daughter had a rough night too, I think something is going around 1 when she’s previously slept from 5-5:30 before she then will go to sleep at about 9/9:30 and has slept fine, but I’d just be prepared for another night of disturbed sleep, especially if she’s coughing. Personally I’d make sure she has a warm steamy bath before bed, saline drops, some calpol and nurofen if needed and a lot of playing before bed to try and tire her out! Good luck 🤞🏽

@Chelsea thank you, she still seems tired. But I don’t know whether to now drag it out longer or put her down at her normal time x

My son had a danger nap from 4:30-5. His normal bedtime is 7 but I’ve let him stay up a bit later and teething too get him to sleep now

@Caroline what time did you put him to sleep? I just put my LG down at 8 she usually goes down at 7:30 x

We had a nap at 5 on holiday as she was ill thinking it would push her on so we would have a bit of a night before we all had to head back to the room but it didn’t work. She was still exhausted and melting down by 7.30pm. When they’re ill the usual rules go out of the window

He ended up going to sleep at around 8:15. He is usually asleep at 7 and he woke up at 7am which was a win!
