This is completely normal they won't know any other way of communicating until around one they are still our little babies yet
My daughter has started temper tantrums if she can’t get or do certain things. I just try my best to distract her with something else. 😭
@Alexis same. She’d make a cry that’s different from other cries I know it’s cause she wants something and have a meltdown if she doesn’t get it. At this age can’t reason with her yet so I try to make a story about something like the toy needs to go home or go to school so need to say bye bye
How else do you expect them to communicate with us? Crying does equal whatever they want when they are a baby and don’t talk yet
@Sydney i’m just don’t wanting her to learn that she can have a full on crying episode just because i need to put a shirt on or change her diaper. was just asking for some tips
@Winnie i like this 🫶🏼
@Lindsey my baby cries a lot just as I turn away (not even leaving yet), so I totally get what you mean. I think it’s separation anxiety. If it’s like things I need to do I just tell her what I’m doing, like changing in the closet (and step out to let her see me every 10 sec so she knows I’m here), keep talking to her or singing to her when I’m not in the line of sight for her so she understands I didn’t just disappear. Acknowledge her feelings wanting to be close to mama but mama is doing something for her! (Like cooking for her preparing milk for her etc). Diaper change just tell her im doing this to help her stay clean and healthy, “mama loves you and want to help you be healthy and clean” If I go to work I’d tell her as it is and say bye bye see you later and blow kisses. If it’s a toy she is stubborn to let go I tell her Mr turtle has to go to school, go home, go nap (so she needs to nap too lol) and Mr turtle will see her later! 😁 things like that. 🫶🫶
Same! My girl doesn’t let me do 💩 without her in my arms. If im not holding her she will scream and cry bloody murder and she doesn’t let anyone else hold her. It is exhausting
Honestly I’m at the point it’s her only way of communicating .. also, I guess they are super needy around this time
