we’ve started doing the lying flat as our baby loves it and it terrified me at first! I just have the smallest bit of water, keep a hand on him at all times and pour water with the jug onto a muslin to keep him warm
@Louisa does he slide much as he's no support only me
Sounds like a big faff but when my girl gets like that I take her out of the seat and get in with her, as she’s SUCH a wriggler and only me available! I let her take the lead in being in the water and hold her at all times and by being in the water it’s way easier to grab her if she went too far! I’ve seen seats you can get but my little one can’t sit up unaided yet so this only works for me so far! X
@Taylor yes mine can't either I might start getting into the bath be nice bonding aswell I'll give it a try worth a shot thank you!!
Since about 5 months I’ve been bathing my girl laying flat - she absolutely loves it. I started taking her swimming at around 4 months old and tbh it gave me a lot more confidence with water in general. She goes underwater in swimming so in relation to bath time - aslong as you don’t leave them unattended there’s absolutely no issues with having a small enough bath so you can lay little one flat xxx
i hold him but he kicks so so much that yeah he slides down a tiny bit but i just wiggle him back up. The thought of it was way scarier than actually doing it
@Louisa yes I'm probably just overthinking it too I tend to do this alot 🤣
@Claire tried him he screamed and wouldn't go into the bath the next night until the seat was out of sight 😭
We’ve bathed our little one lying once she outgrew the sink, she loves it! We put a folded flannel down beneath her head to make sure it’s not too hard
@Naomi ahhh that's a good one , I did try it tonight be chickened out 🤣
some people do bath there babies laying flat im the bath ive never had to do it myself as mine doesnt mind her seat too much anyways your baby will not drown aslong as you are watching him x
