Swaddle vs sleepsack

Wondering if anyone has some experience in this topic. My little one (about to be a month old in a couple days) loves to be swaddled. She hates having her arms pinned down so I’ve swaddled her with them up near her faced since birth. Recently I’ve tried introducing a transitional swaddle sack like the Love to Dream swaddle sack and I’ve only been able to get her to sleep in it once after HOURS of trying to get her to sleep. Her startle reflex wakes her up and she has too much wiggle room which she’s not used and wakes herself up that way too. I’ve tried to put her in it during her day naps but not much luck

Usually after awhile babies hate to be swaddled lol

My baby loved being swaddled and hated sleep sacks because her reflex would wake her up. I stopped swaddling once she could Houdini her arms out.

Mine hated swaddling and only slept in the love to dream 🤣 maybe she needs to get a little bigger so it’s more snug?

@Korissa this is what I’m hoping! yet again we’re just now filling up our newborn size onesies so I’ll try again when she gets chonkier

@Bri mine might be broken 😂 but I’ll wait and see

I honestly swaddled my boy till 6 months because he would just tear his face up

But ideally should no longer swaddle when they can roll over which my son did at 3 or 4 months

So just keep swaddling till then I guess

@Sandra yes it’ll happen faster than you think! My son love the L2D especially when he started teething around 3m. The edges of the sleep sack where his hands go were always wet from him gumming them!

I swaddle only when my boy is struggling to fall asleep. After when he fall into deep sleep asleep I un-swaddle him.
