My baby is 1w old
He had a feed at 11 and i put him down for the night. I woke him up at 3 and he wasn’t taking the breast. So i tried him with formula milk. He had 1oz and fell asleep again. I put him down to wake him up but he just slept. Hes been sleeping since. Is this normal? He does have jaundice but didnt need treatment. Hes had wee and poo nappies. Just very sleepy and lethargic. Should i be concerned?

Change nappy first to wake them up - mine always too sleep straight for the boob but after a change is crying for the boob x

It happened to me in the first night, the midwife told me to express and feed with syringe , as the baby was too tired to wake up and eat. I only had colostrum then , which was a pain to express but it did the trick, she then woke up and properly fed within the hour of feeding her a syringe of colostrum.
