Yes. I wonder a lot about adhd especially as my mum has this. Not that there's anything wrong with it but I know they need more support so want to be sure he gets it if he does need it. He wakes up and goes to sleep yelling and pretty much only sits down if ill or in the bath and it's hard to get him to sit in the bath. It's hard to teach words as he's too distracted by anything else to look at me when I'm talking to him 😅 but he's learning anyway Too bad he's never had a night's sleep that he woke up less than 4 times 😅😅
Yes mine has been like this as long as I can remember, we tire him out in the garden or take him to a park so he can run around. The fresh air really helps calm him 🙃
My boy is exactly the same at the moment. I take him to sessions each week and he seems to be the only one causing havoc, throwing toys and just running around rather than engaging. Even at home he went from sitting nicely with certain toys to just grabbing things from every drawer or cupboard not to mention the tantrums when he doesn’t get his own way 🙈 really hoping it’s just a phase, I am due no2 in a couple weeks and I’ve read they can start to sense a new one coming and craving more attention, or he’s just a typical hyperactive (boy) toddler 😂 x
Labels are thrown around so much 🙄no they don’t have adhd they are normal curious energetic toddlers , my twins keeps me on my toes from the minute they wake up but I’d much rather them this way than them sat still dribbling in the corner then their would be something to worry about 🤣👍
My lo is the same, has always been very alert and on the go. Some toddlers are very chilled but that is the minority I think! Totally normal to have lots of energy and be inquisitive ❤️ Both me and lo dad are neurospicy (adhd) and the likelihood is she will be as it’s genetic, it’s hard to know what is what, the signs aren’t apparent (officially) until they are 2 x
@Amy thankfully, health professionals and society are becoming much more aware of neurodivergence now, people talk more about it as it’s incredibly common. It’s hard to tell either way at this age but it is genetic so it’s important to hold it in mind so they can have the adjustments they need when they start school etc and not end up thinking they are bad or naughty for having big emotions or finding it hard to do the things schools demand of littles ❤️ It’s good this mum is holding it in mind 🙂
My boy is exactly the same. On the go all the time. Trying to keep him entertained can be tricky sometimes. X
