Introducing a dummy?

Breastfeeding mommas, has anyone introduced a dummy and not had any issues? I’m considering it to give her the added comfort source when I’m putting my 2 year old to sleep or when she wants to sleep but I keep reading it cause latching problems so I am a bit hesitant…… let me know your experiences please🥰🥰

I’m breast feeding, bottle feeding and she has a dummy and she latches on all 3 fine! I find the dummy really useful when she just wants to soothe so she doesn’t use my boob for that!

We give baby one sometimes when not settling for sleep. Sometimes she takes it, sometimes she doesn’t want it, but it hasn’t impacted feeding at all. I breastfeed and she takes one bottle at night time too. Give it a go :) xx

@Briony I do sometimes feel like a human dummy so that’s really good to know you’ve had no issues🙂 what dummies are you using??

@M so reassuring to hear thank you! What dummy do you use?

We introduced one on day 2 and she uses it mostly to settle to sleep. It's not caused any issues with latching for us. We use mam 😊

@Claudia we use the mam dummies and bottles!

@Claudia we are using Mam dummies !

Combi and use Mam dummies, find it so helpful as my son likes to feed most times for over an hour and to stop I will give him one when I’m On my own and can’t pass him to someone else to settle

I breastfeed and use a bottle and dummy, baby had all fine x

Same as above though my little girl prefers the boob to dummy’s 🤣 We went for mam as we’re using mam bottles too

My little boy has been breast / bottle fed and had a dummy since he was born as he was in neonatal for the first few days and he’s never had any issues with any of them x
