Again, never got round to trying it, but I was told electric toothbrush (or vibrator…) can also be used to massage the lump and may be more readily available than a massage gun. I had a lump for just under 24 hours and it was hell. I have no idea if it was just coincidence or what, but it eventually went after I had taken ibuprofen before bed and the baby had a 2:30am night feed. I’m the sort of person who doesn’t take painkillers unless I’m in a LOT of pain, but I don’t know if the pills actually helped in some way…??
Heya - i used to have so many clogged ducts and they are so painful!! Take sunflower lecithin it'll help. In the meantime, use a hot water bottle on the breast for 10 minutes before pumping, massage the breast where the lump is while pumping, and ice after. Clogged ducts while pumping are really common because the pump can't draw the milk out as efficiently as a baby can, and some people are more prone to them. If you're new to pumping, be sure to measure your nipples and make sure you're using the correct flange size (guaranteed it ain't 24mm because you're not a cow) because the correct flange size pulls the milk out more efficiently. Good luck!!
Take a hot shower and massage the breast it’s clogged milk ducts and pump and store as much as possible to prevent that from happening
Hey I’m by no means an expert on this but I did get told by a midwife that you can very gently use a massage gun on lumps to break them up a little or dislodge them although I’ve never actually tried this myself! Goodluck
