Yes…he just started a few weeks ago, too. Usually, it’s when we’re around other toddlers that don’t share with him when he smacks ‘em. Once in a while we get smacked too but it’s not too often.
no
The phase came and went for us (though I’m sure we’re due for a relapse 😅). I can’t say this’ll work for everyone but when he would hit me, I’d grab his hand and use it to gently stroke my face and say “aww, be nice to momma” then go “awwww that’s much better thank you” and now on the rare occasions that he hits me he’ll immediately stroke my head after and go “awwww” lol. It is really cute. The biting phase was very brief and I’m not sure we did anything specific to address it, it just resolved itself.
@Calandria I need to try that
Yes! Ugh following for help. My little one will hit me like crazy when I need to change his diaper and he absolutely does not want to. He also tries these gentle bites if he’s mad, like he’s trying to chew me. I’m 6 months pregnant and he tried chewing my belly but that was more him testing boundaries and then laughing at any reaction I would give him
Ours hits. She had really only bit us a couple of times. We just tell her no and that is she does it again we won't hold her. And when she laughs and continues it,v then we follow through what we said. It happens often so I don't know how to not have it occur at all, just dealing with it when it does happen.
