3YO running off not waiting
As the title says. Any advice? Basically doesn’t follow reasonable requests like wait, down, stop etc. She is so quick. What activities can I do to target this, I know it’s going to take time. Feel as though I will be doing less and less as I’m becoming so unconfident going out

@Sadé thank you. Yes, she will run off to things of interest. I can see what she heads for if that makes sense but she gets so excited she can’t just walk. Or walk with me. Thank you. Yes, I couldn’t wait either she’d get hurt
I got toddler leashes. 🤷♀️

My 3yr old was doing the same thing (eloping). I was so worried he would get hurt. We only went to fenced-in parks. The therapist suggested that I stand still and call him back with a stern voice but not chase him. Didn't work. We began leaving the park anytime he eloped. It seems to have gotten better over time. Monday, I took both twins to an unfenced park by myself, and he did great. Hang in there Mama, she'll learn!
