Rolling over at night

My LO is now in her own room in a bigger cot. She seems to be happy in there except she wakes herself up rolling over and gets frustrated trying to settle herself back. I watch in the monitor and only intervene if she starts crying or is stuck. She mainly sleeps on tummy or sides now and seems to prefer this. When I go in to help her (turn her onto back) she becomes really distraught and screams - the only way I can settle her is breast feed her back to sleep. I’m trying to wean the night feeds but now it’s impossible. I don’t know really what I’m asking here but is anyone else dealing with the waking from rolling or has this happened - when does it pass? We were just starting to get more sleep until we moved her.

If she can roll from back to belly and belly to back then she’s fine to sleep on her belly as long as she’s not swaddled

Ok good to know, no not swaddled, sleeping bag @Rachel

If she gets stuck I wouldn’t let her sleep on her belly. God forbid she can’t roll back one day.. I just would play it safe and try to put her on her back.

But I have heard if they can roll back and forth they’re okay. Paranoid me wouldn’t do that. Lol
