1st degree tear and haemorrhoids

HELP!😭 I gave birth nearly 3 weeks ago to my little girl. However, I have for the last week - maybe longer, been suffering awfully with haemorrhoids. I have the natural cream as I am breast feeding but it is agony. Any tips on what else I can do to help myself? The itching, pain while in the toilet and sitting is honestly becoming on par with painful contractions… As well as this, I had a 1st degree tear in labour, which didn’t need stitches, which I thought I was extremely lucky for! This is also really hurting still! I had a peak today in a mirror… shouldn’t have done that! The tear looks like it was cut with scissors (it wasn’t) but I wasn’t expecting such a big tear, naive I know! But it is still split apart, I would have thought it would be closing together by now? If anyone’s experienced any of these things and has any nice words or possible solutions to the amount of discomfort and pain I am in please please let me know. Also, if my tear will ever re-attach itself to each side😭😭 it’s awful and honestly ruined my day. I now know and understand why other mothers tell you to not look!

I had a first degree tear too, I did however have stitches put in. I also have haemorrhoids too. I gave birth 8 days ago and was in terrible pain for the first few days with my haemorrhoids. I got the natural cream which has helped soothe the pain and I am currently not experiencing any pain because of this (I have them on the exterior not inside). My tear however is still painful and I do struggle to sit down. I have been using cooling pads and taking paracetamol for the pain. I am going out tomorrow for the first time so I'm hoping to take it easy and walk slowly. I had a look too and I'm not closing together yet either x

Are you taking a laxative daily? It helped immensely when I had an episiotomy last time until I healed ♥️

I had a second degree tear but with stitches and got my husband to check it's healing OK after two weeks. He could still see the stitches which surprised me but the midwife said it can be two weeks for some people and six weeks for others so I don't know if that helps?! In terms of pain I used boots cooling pads regularly for the first week or so and took a short bath every day as it helped with the soreness. Also suffered with haemorrhoids a couple of times and both the bath and pads helped ease these too x

I gave birth about 2.5wks ago now and also had a 1st degree tear which is split apart too. I had it re-looked at and they said that it heals from the bottom of the wound upwards and fills in so it should hopefully heal up for you, they just said it takes a bit longer than if you’d had stitches but it heals in a more comfortable way as stitches can get incredibly itchy and tug on the tissue. I have been using vagisil lidocaine cream every day to numb the area which has been really helpful! ❤️
