Yes… been doing it 4 weeks now ! Not a fan What I found was first couple weeks I’d force myself to do it every day, not doing that anymore, just trying 2-3 x a week and I end up collecting more/ feeling more relaxed about it
It felt so easy with my first and breastfeeding came naturally. This time getting colostrum seems like a chore and make me worried I won’t be able to breastfeed. Not sure why it feels so different.
I struggled with colostrum collection with my first, barely managed to get a few drops, but then exclusively breastfed him for over a year, and no issues with milk supply. I had some challenges with breastfeeding and latch/tongue-tie in the beginning, but don’t think it was linked to the colostrum harvesting, and breastfeeding got a lot easier after the initial stages
i got a small amount 2 days in a row then nothing for the past 2 days 🫠x
I got a few drops out but not into anything, it just ends up on my boob or fingers and it's such a chore that I'm not pushing myself. My midwife did say some people find it easier than others and it doesn't mean anything for post-partum breastfeeding if you do struggle so going to just try but not get too stressed!
Unfortunately I think you don’t get more unless you keep doing it :/ my first two syringes took ages but then last night I did more and it was easier. Never did harvesting with my first so it’s new to me this time! Breastfeeding was much easier than the harvesting tho!
Same the more I try the less I'm getting. Last 2 times I've got nothing at all
