How to know if it’s contractions

Wide awake with some pains and pressure uncomfortable enough to not sleep, at what point do I consider if it’s contractions🤣 or could I just feel discomfort if she was moving a lot/ moved low down? I’m 36+6 weeks

I'm 36+2 and have been cramping a fair bit this week. I'd say if the pain intensifies steadily then it could well be the start of labour. With my first, I started at 6pm with a bad period pain feeling then by about midnight I had to wake my husband up to help me put the tens machine on! If this is it, good luck!

I think it’s just a case of waiting and seeing what happens. If it’s the real deal, the contractions will ramp up, get closer together and be more consistent. I’ve had a few nights now where I’ve had what feels like mild contractions on and off for a few hours, but then it stops completely. Keep getting my hopes up!

Thankyou, it went on for another few hours but I managed to fall back asleep and now woken up with nothing so must’ve just been a false alarm x

Sure it won't be long until it's the real deal and you get to meet your little one 🥰
