Pgce interviews
Hey mums I have applied for pgce primary and got two interviews coming up I could really use some help and advise as I have no idea what qs or anything to expect!!
One includes a task with group and the other one seems to just be 1-1 can anyone let me know if they’ve done one ans what to expect and so on it’s only btw

My 1:1 interview was about why I was passionate about teaching and general interview questions 😊 We did the boo explanation too. This would have been in 2019
The 1:1 they'll be wanting to hear your experiences in schools. Our group task was putting statements (it was over 10 years ago now so don't remember exactly what about) in a pyramid of importance. They wanted to see how we worked as a team, whether we could put our points across, listen and compromise etc, not too bossy/rude and not too shrinking violet. You may be asked about safeguarding/if a child makes a disclosure etc, the 'stock' answer which covers most bases is 'I would follow the safeguarding policy and procedure of the school'.

I did this a few years ago and qualified before having my little one. The group stage you have to choose a book and describe what age group you think it is appropriate for and why. Why you chose this book for this age group (as there is a huge focus on reading to your little one and introducing books in school). Google the questions for the 1:1 interview but it's just about your personal experiences regarding school life as a teacher or ta ... How you would deal with certain situations.
