Night feeds

Our pediatrician said that i should stop night feeds as my baby girl doesn’t need it anymore but i don’t know how as she has associated feeding with sleep. Also she doesn’t sleep in her crib either which is making it very difficult for me to sleep at night🫣 any advice?

Are you breastfeeding? Do whatever works for you two. My baby stopped sleeping in his crib awhile ago, he kept waking up crying and it became too much trying to get him to stay asleep by himself but he’s a big baby in size so we felt we could try cosleeping and have been doing so ever since. He’s a big contact napper as well and still wakes to feed once or twice throughout the night. We’re just going with his cues because the whole American system of sleep training and all that is not very natural at all.

Ignore the pediatrician and Keep nursing at night. They may not need the calories but they need it for comfort or thirst etc and it helps them go back to sleep easy

I absolutely nurse at night when she needs and have no intention to stop. I nursed my oldest for 2.5 years.

Most say to wean by 12-15 months so you have time!! Look up Eat, Play, Say on instagram. She has a Weaning Handbook!

I think most of the time when my son wakes up at night, he is actually thirsty and not necessarily hungry since he usually only drinks an ounce or two at night. I also wake up thirsty and need to get a drink of water, so I can’t fault my son for the same. As for sleeping in the crib, try doing all her naps in her crib to get her introduced to it.
