Safe sleeping/cot transition

So I’m wanting to transfer baby into cot soon. However she sleeps like this every single night. It’s how she soothes herself and no matter where she is she has to have her face up against something (safely or supervised, this next to me cot is mesh). However because of the wood on the cot I’m worried she’s going to hurt herself trying to do it in her cot or won’t be able to soothe herself or get comfortable so we will have issues with sleep. Obviously cot bumpers aren’t safe so does anyone have any suggestions?

My girl was like this in our next to me and as soon as I moved her to the cot it stopped! No suggestion unfortunately but I’d say you’d need to buy a cot at some point anyway so I’d try it and she might surprise you like mine did! My girl usually goes to sleep with a muslin next to her face now and then I take it from her when she sleeps xx

Aww.. she’s so adorable!!!🥰 She’s probably having flashbacks to being in the womb! ☺️ Sorry I don’t have any advice. I plan on having the bedside crib, where one side is open and up against my bed. I don’t think you would want to cut up your cot. 😅 Can you possibly just staple a blanket against the wood for some barrier?

My little girl did this and as soon as we moved her to the cot she stopped doing it! I think cos the cot was so much bigger it defo helped! X

You can also get these.. we didn’t use them but a friend does and she’s never had any issues! She got them as her little boy used to throw his dummy out the side of the cot! X
