Anyone else still using a cot?

Our little girl still uses a cot. She's very content in it, has never tried to climb out, she lies in it sometimes a good 20mins singing and playing with her teddies before falling asleep and wakes up chatting. Just wondering if anyone else still uses a cot? As had a remark asking why she wasn't in a toddler bed yet

Yeh my little girl is still in her cot, she's the same happily playing with her teddies and singing when she wakes up :) I might take the side off in summer but only cos I want to introduce a duvet but she perfectly safe and content in it

Our little girl is also still in the cot. She is 2 1/2. I believe if they’re sleeping well and not putting their self in danger from climbing out, don’t change it. I was planning changing it after summer when we want to introduce a duvet to her, so she’ll be coming up 3

Yeah still in a cot but occasionally tries to climb in or out when it's bed time or morning but she loves rolling around singing and talking to herself in there or reading books etc for a little bit while I'm having a shower or something. Kinda dreading taking the side off but will have to soon 🙈

Yep our 2.5yr old is still in there! Happy and hasn’t tried to escape! Hoping to transfer him in a few months when second baby needs it so I don’t have to buy another and build it!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (As my dad would say). We swapped my daughter out to her toddler bed with a barrier last year because we couldn't fit a cot in her room at the caravan. Otherwise, she would probably still be in it. X

If my daughter hadn't started vaulting out of hers I'd still have it. We only moved to a toddler bed to prevent injury. Xx

My little boy is still in his cot. Not planning on turning it to a toddler bed anytime soon as he doesn’t try to climb out ☺️

My little girl is 2.5 and she has never tried to get out. She loves her sleep and dosing in her cot. Actually a struggle to get her up sometimes 🤣

My little boy is just over two years old and was still in his cot as of very recently! We took him on holiday in Feb and the room didn’t supply a cot (even though we asked for one) so we had no choice but to put him in a bed. He done incredibly well, so we thought it best to continue it at home. He’s done amazingly with the transition, but if it wasn’t for the lack of cot on holiday, he probably would still have been in his x

Ah thank you all for the replies! Yeah my thoughts, was she's content and hasn't tried to climb out. So no danger issues. But when I mention she's still in a cot at 2.5years old. Had a remark at a group as to why she's still in one. I was very in the mindset the whole time she's content, I'll wait until she can understand the transition better x

We’re using the cot still but with one side off so he can get in and out otherwise he climbs out 😂

Like most comments - you parent your kids and let them parent theirs :)

Ditched the sides of the cot turning it into a toddler bed 18 months and at 2 he got a single bed because he didn’t have room anymore (he’s tall) and was head butting the wall. Single bed was my choice as it won’t need to be changed again for a long time
