Getting the first period after giving birth.

I'm 18mo PP with still no period 😂😂 that is pretty abnormal though. However! My sister had a babe a bit before me and got her period back 8mo PP. From memory, she said it was a bit irregular and all over the show when it came back, and eventually settled down after a couple of cycles

I breastfeed and got my period back at 6 months, but didn't manage to conceive until 15 months pp. It was irregular and I wasn't ovulating to start with, so don't be too stressed about things x

My periods took over a year to regulate after birth and while breastfeeding, it’s very normal as breastfeeding puts our hormones out of whack

Definitely normal to have abnormal periods if you still exclusively breastfeed. I don't breastfeed anymore but got my period at 7 months postpartum as well and had like 3 normal cycles (longer times that later, like 40 day cycles) and just this last cycle I skipped a cycle. I was freaking out thinking I somehow got pregnant on my birth control and took so many tests. I think I just didn't ovulate last month. I also know it takes a while for the body to get back into routine.

My periods came back at 10m pp with my first, and then i had 10 wonky periods over 16 months, until i fell pregnant again 😅 your body isn't going to snap back to normal after a 16 month break of cycles

I got my period and then it took like 10 weeks for the second period. I totally freaked out thinking i was preggo again but wasn’t.

Thank you ladies for your responses Omg 😅 I was starting to worry because last time I got my period 6m postpartum and didn’t get a second period it was because I was pregnant 😬 that’s how I have 2 under 2 I really can’t handle 3 under 3 😩 haha

my periods were very irregular the first year and half since getting it back! there were many times i skipped a month or 2. test to be safe and ease your mind but dont freak out :)

I had my period back at 6 weeks then nothing until 9 months. Hormones are all over for the place for 2 years after birth.

This is happening to me with my second baby! Had a period in February but none since and all the tests I took were negative 😔😭 I just want it to come or be positive at this point 🤣 i can't handle the not knowing what's what

I’m 9m pp and I convinced myself that I was pregnant cause I haven’t gotten my period. I’m definitely not pregnant soooo idk

After having my last daughter I had 2 periods within 3 weeks of each other then nothing for 2 months and then a heavy period and then 3 weeks later light spotting. Hormones are very all over the place after birth especially when breastfeeding x

I got my period back 8 months pp, first cycle after was 41 days long 🤯 I was stressing too, my next cycle was 33 days (my norm) and then this cycle was 36 days, so a little late but I’m still breastfeeding so it’s normal for it to be a little all over the place
