Changing nappy on crawling baby

I give my baby a toy to play with and then Change his diaper while he is occupied

We had this, it was like wrestling an alligator, and so hard not to get mucky. Was horrible! Didn't find a real fix but he's grown out of it relatively fast, which I'm hoping is reassuring for you to know, it's a phase and they get better at realising you're helping them and chill out a bit when you change them, so.... In time 😬

I play a nursery rhyme for mine while changing her nappy so maybe offer something he likes to keep him occupied during that period. And bonus tip is I moved to nappy pant so I can wear it even if she’s standing or rolling over.

Maybe buy nappy pants

Switch to pull ups. And watch some wrestling 😅

Wipes wipes and wipes I take the wipes I need out , ruffle the packet above his head and he loves the sound and plays happily with it - most of the time anyway lol

So glad to hear! I have 5 kids but the last 2 were a lot more trying. I had to get creative 😂

I prep & always fluff out the new diaper & pull out the amount of wipes I need before I even lay baby down. Then hand baby a random distracting item (something you might not usually give them works best as they get older when they stop caring about the wipes package lol) then hurry and fight for your life 🤣

@Siera this is exactly what I do, it’s the only way she doesn’t escape from me butt naked 😂

Like @Micha I do all the prep before hand, needed wipes, fluffed nappy etc. But I also allow him to roll on his front, it’s a much easier way of covering his bottom with nappy cream 😂😂

Can try pull up pants ? I don't use them as she's not yet fitting into that size however I always have a toy, cream tube, random clip or wipes packet anything really to give her whilst changing. She'll mostly stay still for me depends on her mood

@Siera I was going to explain our method but a picture speaks a thousand words 😂😂 We moved to pull ups quite early as well that helped a lot
