Good day ladies. Is anyone taking Semaglutide ( Ozempic, Wegovy, or Rybelsus)? I am breastfeeding and wondering if it’s safe for the baby to take while breastfeeding. I know doc will say no I am 180 lb now and 8 weeks pp before pregnancy I was 140 lb.
I wouldnt do it because your baby is developing and you probably wouldn’t want to give them weight loss meds through your milk. I did a quick chat GPT search and it said it’s not safe but maybe you could breast feed less time and then take it? Also you just had a baby which is a miracle and to make it even better you are breastfeeding your baby which is hard give yourself some grace and give your body time to heal because you’re doing an amazing job. I’m 4 months postpartum and I still have a long way to go in the weight loss department but my healthy baby makes it worth it
