Honestly losing my patience, what am I doing wrong šŸ˜©

LO has 20-30 min naps and always has done. Thatā€™s fine Iā€™ve accepted it. I thought I will try and transition her from 4 naps to 3 to see if sheā€™d sleep any longer. Nope she didnā€™t, she slept the same amount and she ended up being super moody, over tired and fussy + crying because wake windows were 3+ hours whereas before they were 2-2.5. I felt like I couldnā€™t cope with a screaming baby so went back to having shorter wake windows and 4 naps. But sheā€™s fighting the last nap. She can hardly stay awake longer than 2.5 hours so Iā€™ve listened to her needs and put her down for a nap and she went to sleep no problem but now sheā€™s fighting her 4th nap. Bedtime isnā€™t for another 3 hours and sheā€™s already been awake 3 hours so I donā€™t know how sheā€™ll manage 6 hours of awake time? Where am I going wrong, what am I doing wrong, what do I do with her, I honestly just give up?! I donā€™t know whatā€™s worse, listening to her cry because sheā€™s tired and then her struggling to go to sleep because sheā€™s overtired but has 3 naps, or her being content but then fighting the last nap and screaming and shouting again because she doesnā€™t want to sleep?

My baby doesn't want his third nap but will often fall asleep on his late afternoon bottle, so I let him sleep for literally 5 mins, then wake him up and that then takes him to bedtime x

Maybe try bringing bedtime earlier and see what happens??

My LG has 2 naps now and just turned 6 months. She sleeps 7:45pm to 7am generally. Iā€™ll keep her awake till 9:30 so a 2.5hiur wake window and sheā€™s grumpyyyyy. But sheā€™ll sleep for 45-90 mins then a 3 hour wake window and then a 45 Min nap then a 4hour wake window til bed. If I try and put another nap in there, sheā€™ll scream. She doesnā€™t like napping! The only thing I can suggest is persevere and try to keep her busy?

On 3 naps you wouldnā€™t expect wake windows to be 3+ hours. That sounds more like a 2 nap schedule. On 3 naps, you would be looking at wake windows something like 2/2.5/2.5/2.5
