Staying hydrated

Everyone says it’s important but I’m struggling to drink plain water and nearly every electrolyte mix I’ve tried makes me nauseous. Help! Need low to no sugar options and/or advice on how to drink enough when you’re nauseous all the time 🤢

I’ve just been drinking water with fresh lemon and some salt, plus a bit of coconut water. You could also try just squeezing an orange slice too for some flavor without that fake sugary taste

I always get a water aversion when i’m pregnant. I learned I cannot drink things at room temperature (like I usually do). i’ll drink warm water with lemon. &It’s not recommended but I also eat soft ice when I absolutely cannot drink anything.

I was literally in the hospital yesterday for dehydration because my nausea has been so bad. The B6/unisom trick has not been working for me so now I have a prescription for Reglan for nausea. Smoothies settle easier for me than any other drink so maybe try that?

Honestly I didn't in the nauseous phase and the guilt ate me alive. Now I'm not nauseous I'm back to my normal ways (which is probably still not enough) except I need it with a million ice cubes when I normally do room temperature. Also eating a lot of watermelon 🍉 and cucumber 🥒 etc. it's a struggle

Fresh lemon or lime squeezed into 32 oz of hot water to make tea or let it cool to be refreshing have saved me when nauseas. It’s amazing warm or cold if you can handle some tart I just add more water to make it to my taste preference. My midwife recommended making a pitcher of water adding any tolerable fruit, vegetable, or herb to the pitcher put it in the fridge for a few hours and then enjoy. Recommended combos: cucumber+mint / honeydew+lime / pear / ginger / watermelon / rosemary. If these are intolerable to drink sugar free sparkling water.

Same here 😩 I found that bottled spring water tasted slightly more tolerable than my fridge water. I try to drink more when I’m eating because it doesn’t make me as nauseated if I have it with food. When I’m really nauseated I’ll drink plain sparkling mineral water and that calms it down some.

Literally same boat! Honestly what's been helping me is ice water. Or ice chips to munch on or a smoothie from tropical smoothie. That's my only advise. Or go to urgent care or your doctor to get stronger nausea meds. I think imma do that. 😵
