11 weeks shorter feeds?

Hi Team, My EBF baby has suddenly started taking shorter feeds… gaps are the same. He used to be a 15-20 min guy: now he pops off about 8 mins and needs persuading to get up to 12 min feed…. If I let him stop at 8 mins, he’s hungry earlier, and he refuses any more after about 12 mins… Is this normal? He’s also pooing more… smaller poos more frequently…. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

From lactation classes, I was told that babies become more efficient in their sucking, so he may be getting enough in shorter times? x

We had this last week at 10 weeks - people suggested he was getting more efficient. I’m not sure if maybe he was just having a rough week though, because this week he is feeding a bit longer again. It was really hard to watch him take such a short feed, but he would scream if I tried for much more than 8 minutes or the other breast after he popped off of one. Now that we are getting past it, I can see that it didn’t do him any harm, but it was a stressful week.
