Pacifier weaning

Omg is anyone like us officially weaning off the pacifier at 15 months? It has been brutal . We’re hitting a week of no paci during naps or bedtime and I’m starting to lose it man . I’m so freaking tired and when it’s time for me to sleep I simply can’t. Then I’m rocking him to sleep for over an hour because as soon as I’m trying to put him down he pops right back up and God forbid he isn’t pissed. Does it really get better because everyone else I talk to tells me “yea it’s hard the couple of nights but then they forget about it”. I feel like my son just gets more angry every night .
