What kind of things have u saw as mine is the same just now x

It’s very much dependent on the baby. The gp will prescribe a hypoallergenic extensively hydrolysed formula such as nutramigen LGG or aptamil peptide 1 to start. If these don’t help they will look at an amino acid formula. However the other considerations will be possible other allergens that may be picked up on along the way. Spy and coconut are common allergens for cmpa babies and some milks contain one or both of these so can cause other reactions. It’s very much trial and error

his symptoms have kinda always been there but more heighten now around 12 weeks i would say fussy on bottle not finishing his feeds as he wiggles, smelly farts and poo explosive poo dirreah green mucusy and always been congested with snotty nose. was fine few weeks back thought his stomach matured but got him on goats milk found it made it worse now he back on his old formula

thanks yes all trial and error hopefully something will help 🙏🏽 x

I did a bit of research as I felt the same. Nutramigen and neonate have high levels of heavy metals, SMA althera I didn’t choose as the first few ingredients are glucose syrup and veg oils, so I chose Aptamil. However; they use bovaer fed cows (I didn’t know) and they also use maltodextrin which spikes glucose levels higher than glucose syrup. They say they use this as this is the carb that babies get from breast milk, although there are debates as to whether or not this is good for babies or not. Overall, I think all of them are pretty poor and it’s unfortunately picking from a bad bunch in my opinion ☹️ but unfortunately that’s the choice we’re left with! My baby got on really well with it. Have no complaints with Aptamil otherwise!

thanks for your advice so informative x

I’d recommend SMA Alfamino

I’ve had two little ones with CMPA and now possibly a third but out of all the ones I’ve tried that’s been the best

Think it’s just trying and seeing what baby likes x
