It happened to my LO at 7w. Due to my health condition, I need to stop breastfeeding now but it extremely hard to “train” baby on bottle. She doesn’t take even a drop. Unfortunately no advices for you but I just want to say many babies tend to choose either bottle or breast.
Same happened to me when my daughter was around 16 weeks. We had about a month where she would not accept a bottle. We're making gradual progress back to it now. Here is what we've done, which may or may not help: 1) changed to size 2 teats 2) avoid giving the bottle when she is tired- she is most likely to take it in the morning and least likely in the evening 3) me being out of the room while husband gives the bottle 4) recreating the breastfeeding position when giving the bottle- I usually feed her in the rugby ball under arm position. If my husband positions her like this with the bottle it seems to work. Good luck, persevere but without making it stressful for all involved!
Thank you Victoria for sharing. I am stressed as my milk supply is not great as was always combi feeding him and now he doesn’t sleep well, wants to feed every 2 hour which is stressful with a toddler around.
Is it warm still? X
