Hard poos

The slight blood is probably because she's straining to go. Have you tried to give her prunes to help losen things up? And adding extra fiber?

@Ebony yes I tried to give her some prunes last night but she wouldn’t have any she had a little bit this morning but I don’t think it was enough to do anything, my mum said to try fresh orange juice but unsure as to whether they can have fresh orange juice 😅x

My boy had this when we first started weaning into formula from BF, I gave him diluted apple juice whenever he got constipated and it used to work really well! X

@Shannon watered down like squash is slightly better. Have you tried mixing prune puree into porridge?

My daughter did this and we learnt that she had a slight intolerance to cows milk and went back to her formula until she was ready to not have a milk anymore

Lactolose is a life saver short term, you can get it over the counter. It's not expensive, even me and my husband have had to use it on the rare occasion. My little one needed to use it when she was very little (4 to 8 weeks old). If you have a calpol syringe, it's easier to give it to them. Just 2.5ml should be enough, but there are instructions on the bottle if you need to double check. It could also be that LO is a little dehydrated, maybe try giving them 4oz of water throughout the day and see if that helps. I've also had to do that recently for my LO as I noticed her poops were a little too firm, and she was struggling. A little extra water, 4 Oz is the recommended amount per day from what ive reserched... seems to be doing the trick xx

@Ebony she’s had the rest of the prunes today thankfully and a little bit of fresh orange and had a taste of my korma sauce so hopefully by the morning she does a big poo 🤣x

@Pia oooo I’ve got some lactulose I’ll try this tomorrow if she doesn’t go and she does drink plenty of water through the day too xx

I know what you mean, LO went 4 days without a poo once. I was so glad when she finally pooped that I didn't mind that I had to literally cut her vest off of her to avoid getting poop in her hair 🙈 She had a well deserved play time in the bath after that 😅 x
