Chance of pregnancy?

Had sex last night with my husband. We used a condom and then he pulled out and came outside. I checked my app today though and it says my chance of pregnancy is high and I’m fertile right now. Would I get pregnant from that? Don’t want to.

I think not unless the condom failed but I think not

If sperm got near/on your vulva/vagina there is a chance of pregnancy.

It would be God ordained at that point lol I really think you’re safe but there is that .00001% chance. There’s a lot of mucus that sits on your cervix for the sperm to get through so I think if he just came outside on you then you’re good.

Condoms have a 82% chance of protection worldwide ...that means 1-5 women will get pregnant within a year using condoms ,if you don't want to get pregnant get the pill and use them both together,as that's way more effective ....condoms aren't for long term use , if your not using enough lube it can create tear s and small holes in the condoms which can get you pregnant ..you need to combined to be more protected...and make sure you use a lube that doesn't degrade the latex This is facts we have gathered over resent studies 🙏

Low but not impossible.

My partner always pulls out without condom and we’ve never fallen pregnant from sperm being on the outside. When we try we get pregnant first time so I’d say it is very low x

@Shannon it might suprise you but 1 in 5 consieve within a year using condoms ,condoms when used on there own are only slightly more effective than using pull out method, I have been studying birth control methods for 3 years now ,it's crazy how high the number actually is 🙏 Please ladies if you don't want to get pregnant don't rely completely on condoms.

@Shannon it varys alot between women to women ,some get pregnant very easily and some it takes longer this is just overall x

Girl get a contraceptive. Condoms suck anyways and feel terrible. It’ll be a lot less stressful for y’all.

Depends where he finished. Condoms aren't 100% effective, so yes, there is a chance. Protection of any kind is not 100% effective, so there is always a chance you'll get pregnant if you have sex. Chances are higher if the protection is misused or used incorrectly. Chances are even higher if the condom breaks or slips off or if he ejaculated in or near your labia/vagina. If you don't want to be pregnant, then I suggest you track your fertility and use more than 1 contraceptive. Make sure you understand how ovulation works. Not everyone ovulates at the same time during a cycle. You are likely not pregnant, just to put your mind at ease 🙂

@Shannon, the pull out method is the least effective form of birth control. Especially if someone isn't tracking their cycle. Just read a post where someone got pregnant from her husband ejaculating on her labia. It can happen, and people need to understand that it's a risk. You've been very lucky with not getting pregnant and getting pregnant when you want to. Wish I had your luck with the latter.

@Hannah condom did not break and he used lube so I’m certain of not tears. He finished on my mid back

@Holly yes it can ofcourse however my point was when we try I fall pregnant instantly but with pull out I’ve never fallen pregnant and have been doing that for 5 years. Depends x

@Holly but as you said if you really don’t want to be pregnant chose an alternative but like myself contraception isn’t for everyone, it ruined my body (worsened my IBS, Mental Health, worsened my PCOS) so that’s why some women rely on condoms x

@Hannah ofcourse but as I said in another comment, birth control doesn’t work for everyone and that’s why people use pull out method. Birth control made me suicidal and I tried various forms. Also made my IBS significantly worse and overall just ruined me. Some people don’t want to go on BC even if they don’t want to get pregnant and that’s ok, yes more of a risk but to me that risk was better than being suicidal x

@Svenja BC completely messes up my personality and body, so nope not an option. I’m not just always stressed about it, just asked about this one time

@Shannon, as I said, the pull out method is the least effective method, especially if someone isn't tracking their cycle. People need to be aware of this instead of people just saying, "I used the pull out method and didn't get pregnant." I never said it did work for everyone. Only mentioned the pull put method.

Fair enough, as I said, still a possibility but unlikely. It is always a possibility every single time you have sex. Depending on your age and your desire for children, you may want to consider a hysterectomy, or your partner should consider a vasectomy. Why is this time stressing you out when you know the condom didn't break and he didn't ejaculate near your labia/vagina and you don't use any other form of birth control?

@Hannah I’m not stressed, was just asking a question of what the possibility was. I have 3 kids already and I do obviously know that it’s always a possibility. Still a possibility for people on birth control aswell. We will be having a 4th a few years from now so this is what works for us for now. I’m very aware of all the different ways to avoid pregnancy and not looking for ways I should be doing it instead, this is what we’ve chosen for 10 years, I was just asking a question based on this situation.

@Shannon same my body doesn't cope well on birth control either but we don't rely on condoms fully there are other things ,I have never liked birth control for this reason ,there is a gel that stops sperm from travelling like a spermacid and it's safe to use with condoms and it's dramatically lowers your chances instead of just using one thing I had a iud for 8 months and it was the worst ,I understand not everyone works with birth control ...like hell I hated it ...so we used condoms and many other things with it ,as condoms on there own has failed for millions of people..and just because you never got pregnant with the pull out method doesn't mean everyone else using this method will be okay ....as long as your having sex and still having periods you can definitely get pregnant at any time even with the most safest measures ... X

@Holly when I came off birth control I was at an age where I didn’t mind falling pregnant so that’s why we just did pull out but I never fell pregnant from it :) I’ve heard of spermicide etc I’m glad there’s other options because birth control is awful x

@Shannon absolutely 💯 agree I wish we had more options there wasn't so intrusive on the body ,my body hated anything with hormones in it x Pregnancy is already rough ...but birth control was hell ..I gained so much weight and felt sick every morning it just got to the point where I had enough with it😂

@Holly absolutely! After our second my partner is getting the snip as we will be done lol x

@Holly can you point me to what you use?

OK, that's your choice and you owe no one an explanation. I was just offering advice. I was just curious why asking now, what about this time made you ask instead of any other time you've had sex? If you know sex of any kind that involves either penetration or ejaculation near the labia/vagina can result in pregnancy, why ask if you could be pregnant? You know the answer.

@Hannah I’m sorry this simple post made you so annoyed. You’re welcome to move on now.

@Hannah and seriously who cares if this specific time I just felt like posting this question. Like why does there have to be some huge reason why I asked?

Umm, you are the one who sounds annoyed. I was just curious. I'm sorry you are offended and cranky about something.

Not using anything at the moment as I'm pregnant as we speak lol ,but not sure what it looked like but any spermcid should do X if you ask you GP or doctor to help you they can get you a better one x
