Health visitors are optional so it’s not like it goes against you, don’t worry. X
Don’t worry at all! We live in a flat and we had a health visitor come by when I was only 32 weeks pregnant. Basically she came by to introduce herself, give a description of what she does and to give us some helpful pamphlets and websites, that was it. She didn’t ask to see where the baby sleeps until our little one was around 1 month old
Baby wouldn't be in their nursery until 6 months minimum anyway so it doesn't matter whether it's ready. My daughter didn't go into her own room until she was 2. We didn't have a garden either.
Mine visited when babies room was still a 'storage room' as I couldnt get much done while I was pregnant, just asks basic questions to make sure you're safe and well and you understand safe sleeping and feeding baby ect
Don’t worry about where you live, they sometimes ask to see where baby will sleep just to make sure it’s an approved sleeping place such as bedside crib or an overnight approved bassinet etc- but mine didn’t even ask that lol I actually felt the visits were pretty pointless except getting baby weighed for me x
They don’t check anything like that at all! Mine was just a discussion about me, my partner, our health and mental health history, family history etc those kind of things! Birth plan, safe sleeping guidelines, feeding Ground floor flat with a garden isn’t an issue at all, no different to a house with a garden. If anything it’s a great thing! Also hey girl, I’m a Portsmouth girly too!xx
